How to steal eggs and start hatching pets

Steal the egg and follow the return route

The first tutorial route leads to an egg by a sleeping chicken. Taking it starts a chase, so notice the way back before interacting. The desktop prompt uses E; follow the on-screen interaction on your device.

1. Follow the Steal an Egg arrows toward the Forest nest.
2. Use the egg interaction and wait for the circular progress indicator to complete.
3. Once you are carrying the egg, the RUN warning appears and the chicken gives chase. Head back along the return route.
4. Cross the marked SAFE ZONE line. The tutorial changes to Go to your Pen; follow the house marker to your fenced pen.

Place the egg, hatch it, then place the pet

The pen is where the tutorial completes the egg-to-pet loop. Carrying an egg back is not the last step: the egg must be placed before its hatch interaction becomes ready, and the resulting pet needs its own placement.

1. Keep the egg selected in the hotbar and follow Place your Egg to put it on the pen grass.
2. Wait for the placed egg’s countdown to finish. Look for Ready above it.
3. Use Hatch! over the egg; the desktop footage shows an E interaction. The egg breaks and the hatched pet becomes available.
4. Select the pet and follow Place your Pet to put it on the pen grass. Check the placed pet and the money counter before planning another theft.

Troubleshoot the step that stopped

If the chicken catches you during the return, train on the treadmill beside your pen and try a familiar route again. If the egg is back but has not hatched, check whether it is placed and whether the countdown has reached Ready.

A hatched pet sitting in the hotbar still needs to be placed. Follow Place your Pet instead of assuming the hatch alone finished your income setup.

1. For a difficult return: train Speed, then retry a route you can recognize.
2. For an egg that will not hatch: place it, wait for Ready and use the Hatch! prompt.
3. For an unfinished pet setup: select the pet and place it on the pen grass.
